Our Approach to Content

Every article published on Petomiz is written to help a specific person answer a specific question about their pet. We do not publish content purely to rank in search engines, and we do not pad articles with filler to hit a word count. If a topic can be answered clearly in 600 words, we don’t stretch it to 2,000.

How We Research

Our writers rely on established veterinary and animal care sources, recognized breed and species standards, and practical, real-world experience. When information is uncertain, changing, or debated within the animal care community, we say so directly rather than presenting one view as universal fact.

We do not use fabricated statistics, invented survey numbers, or unverifiable claims. If we cannot confirm a fact, we either leave it out or clearly frame it as general guidance rather than a verified statement.

Health and Safety Content

Articles that touch on pet health, symptoms, or safety are written with extra care. Petomiz is an educational resource, not a substitute for veterinary care. Any article discussing symptoms, illness, or treatment includes clear guidance to consult a licensed veterinarian, and we never suggest home treatment for anything that could put a pet at risk.

Corrections

Pet care knowledge evolves, and we sometimes get things wrong. If you notice an error or outdated information in one of our articles, email us at info@petomiz.com with the article link and details. We review every report and correct confirmed errors promptly. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the relevant article.

Advertising and Editorial Independence

Petomiz generates revenue through display advertising. Advertising partners have no influence over the content of our articles, which products or brands we mention, or the opinions expressed in our writing. Ads are visually separated from editorial content and never disguised as articles.
